Criccieth castle
CRICCIETH CASTLE
Situated on the headland overlooking Tremadog bay in Gwynedd, the castle was originally built by the Welsh prince Llywelyn the Great, but changed hands between the Welsh and English before Owain Glyn Dwr sealed its` fate when his troops captured and burned the castle in the early 15th century.
