LNWR Coal Tank Engine No.1054

LNWR Coal Tank Engine No.1054

The LNWR (the London & North Western Railway) Webb Coal Tank No.1054 Steam Locomotive was built at Crewe in 1888. It initially worked in the Birmingham area before the first World War, working the last train on the Abergavenny to Merthyr line before ending its days at Pontypool where it was finally withdrawn for scrap in 1958.

Here, it can be seen lovingly restored at the Spring Steam Gala on the Severn Valley Railway.
