BEWDLEY RAILWAY STATION

A thriving Heritage Railway Station, on the Severn Valley Railway (SVR) at Bewdley which comprises of three platforms, ticket office, waiting room & station buffet.

Originally opened in 1802 as one of the main intermediate stations on a line between Hartlebury & Shrewsbury, in 1878, GWR opened a “loop line” to Kidderminster, which meant Bewdley had a direct link to the town of Kidderminster & became a double junction. Bewdley Station is unique on the SVR in that it has two signal boxes - Bewdley North & Bewdley South.
