Aston hall

This Jacobean 17th Century residence, once owned by the Holte family, is a well known Birmingham landmark . The magnificent red bricked Grade I listed building was designed by John Thorpe & constructed by Sir Thomas Holte, who finally moved into the hall in 1631.

It is an excellent example of a Jacobean Prodigy House - large and showy English Country houses, usually built by courtiers & wealthy families stretching over the Tudor, Elizabethan & Jacobean periods.
